About the event
Audience Profile: Mid- to senior-level leaders in the social impact sector who manage teams and want to shift from authority-driven leadership to collaborative, facilitative space-holding.
Session blurb:
Facilitation is a practice that can only be built through doing, but that practice begins with a shift in our core values. For leaders in the development sector, building the "facilitation muscle" is the key to creating a culture of transparency, trust, and collective agency.
In this 2-hour reflective immersion, we move beyond the theory of leadership to explore the core principles of facilitation. We will dive into what it means to hold space with care and curiosity, and how to intentionally challenge the power dynamics that often lead to fear-driven submission.
