Your organization needs strong systems. RootWorks helps you build them.
Short courses where you make something your organization can use, like a website or a report. You get a certificate when you finish.
What is RootWorks?

At Roots, our mission is to strengthen institutions and changemakers. Social impact that lasts depends on institutions that are resilient, with the strength to keep delivering year after year, whatever changes around them. That strength is built in everyday work: how an organization presents itself, how it reports on its results, and how it looks after its people, money and learning.
RootWorks is where we build that strength together. Each course takes one thing your organization needs, such as a website or a project report, and works on it over a few live sessions with peers from other social impact organizations. You bring your own organization’s material, and session by session you turn it into finished work.
Where it helps, as in Build Your Website with AI, we put AI in your team’s hands. Work that once meant hiring an agency and waiting weeks can now happen inside your own organization, in a fraction of the time. You stay in charge of your story. The words, the photographs, the numbers and the lessons all come from your organization and the communities you serve, and AI helps you shape them. The finished work stays rooted in your context and sounds like you.
By the end, you have something real in your hands: a website that is live, a report that is ready to send. You also earn a Roots certificate.

Who should join?

Build Your Website with AI
Your website is often the first place a donor, partner or community member learns about your work. A clear, current website builds trust and helps people find you. With AI tools, your own team can build it and keep it up to date, without waiting for a developer.
-
Session 1: Plan. Decide who your website is for and what it should say. Map out your pages.
-
Session 2: Build. Use AI tools to create your pages, write the text and add images.
-
Session 3: Launch. Finish and publish your site, and learn how to keep it updated. Create materials that match.
You build: a working website and the materials that go with it.
For: communications leads, program heads, and teams without a web developer.

Project Report Writing
Reports are how donors see the results of your work. A clear project report builds trust, shows what you achieved and supports your case for funding again.
-
Session 1: Plan. Learn what donors look for. Choose your structure and collect your data.
-
Session 2: Write. Turn your data and stories into clear sections.
-
Session 3: Finish. Edit, check and complete your report. Save a template for next time.
You build: a finished project report, and a template you can use again.
For: program managers, M&E staff, and anyone who writes reports for donors.
