Facilitator Name and Brief
Yashasvini Rajeshwar is a social entrepreneur who found her calling in writing. In the early days of her career, Yashasvini worked as a freelance journalist with newspapers and magazines across the country. She has also led and contributed to the communications teams of multiple NGOs, and spent some time teaching English to first generation learners in the Nilgiri hills. In 2018, she founded AuxoHub, a communications consultancy for impact organizations. She and her team have undertaken 200+ projects in 8 languages catering to documentation, research, and language accessibility needs for non-profits across domains in India. Yashasvini has an Integrated Masters in Development Studies from IIT Madras, where she won an institute-level award for all-round excellence.

Session Objectives
- Map out the various aspects of communication spanning fundraising, donor communications, internal documentation, and social media among others, and discuss use- case of each aspect
- Identify which aspects of communication are most relevant to the current needs of the organization/project/team
- Begin building roadmap to address these needs
- Engage with common pitfalls and challenges of communications roadmaps and articulate mitigation plans to address them
Session Outcome
- Understanding of expanse of “communications” as a support function
- Clarity of role of communications within individual organizational context
- Prototype of communication strategy for project/department/organization
Target Audience: Mid management of CSOs/NGOs, particularly those handling communications for specific projects/verticals; early to mid-level communications professionals
