Dr Priyanka S Kochar -Adolescent and Youth Programs Lead, EngenderHealth
Public health specialist with experience in program management and technical oversight across different program areas. Currently leads the Adolescent and youth programs portfolio at EngenderHealth focusing on implementation of strategies, policies, guidelines that ensure meaningful youth engagement and promote equity and inclusion at all levels, has provided similar direction to EngenderHealth’s Asia programs earlier. Previously, engaged with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India to develop guidelines and curricula for the National Adolescent Health Programme in India as a technical expert.

Tarunya project is an example of youth centered, youth driven programming that leveraged resources, commitment and expertise of both civil society organisations and government for an holistic adolescent health program . Learn about sustainable partnerships, and best practices, innovative strategies put in place that ensured meaningful engagement of young people, while strengthening linkages through health systems and community in a sustainable manner. By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of implementing an Adolescent SRHR program (Tarunya Project ) along with best practices and lessons learned.
